After reaching success with Code Named Nehalem processor, core i7 processor for desktop computers that are claimed as the fastest processor today, Intel officially introduced the Core i7 to mobile pc or laptop. Processor, codenamed Clarksfield is known as the fastest for mobile platforms.
Intel introduced the members of the family’s new Core i7 in the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in 2009 which was held in San Francisco, 22-24 September 2009. There are three variants of the Core i7 Intel introduced the show, Core i7 920XM, 820QM Core i7 and Core i7 720QM.

Recommended Core i7 mainstay for the laptop is Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading. Turbo Boost allows the processor speed increases dramatically when there is a core that is not in use.
In the demonstration, Intel Core i7 showed speed 2.0 GHz 920 XM can increase up to 3.0 GHz. Increased speed occurs in a batch process such as photo editing or other applications that run only one core.
Core i7 for mobile devices is part of the Nehalem microarchitecture which had already touched the line of desktops and servers.
In IDF Intel also demonstrated the next generation Core i7 Mobile. Microprocessor codenamed Arrandale it will be adopted Westmere microarchitecture and 32nm production process. Let’s see its appearance, whether as Nehalem will succeed, fail, or perhaps far more successful than ever.
